Hugh Hua (华轶乾), born in Jiaxing, China，is a versatile filmmaker, video artist and a writer dedicated to telling authentic, emotionally resonant stories, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ narratives. From narrative films to experimental video art, his work blends poetic visuals with deeply human themes, exploring memory, identity, and the complexities of relationships, reflecting his commitment to pushing the boundaries of visual narrative.

His short film script Pink Water won First Place at the Ivy Film Festival in 2019.
